Frequently Asked Questions

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.

Where are you located?

Harper Therapy offices are located in Lutz, FL.  We are in the North Fork Professional Plaza, about a mile south of the SR 54 and Land O’Lakes Blvd/US 41/Dale Mabry intersections. North Fork is across from the Target and Walmart on Dale Mabry and looks like a homey, comfortable, green, condominium complex. The address is 1527 Dale Mabry HWY, Suite 103, Lutz, FL 33548

Several years ago, my kids’ pediatrician’s office was just two miles from our house.  In five minutes, I could get my child to our beloved doctor.  It was awesome! Then, he switched offices.  What was a quick trip suddenly took three times as long, with a ton more traffic.  But guess what? I followed him to the new location and didn’t give it a second thought because he was (and still is!) such a great fit for our family.  Many of our clients feel similarly about their therapy experience.  Although our physical location is in Lutz, they drive from Land O’Lakes, Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, Carrolwood, Spring Hill, Cheval, Brooksville, Connerton, Dade City, Zephyrhills, Cheval, Odessa, Trinity, Port Richey, New Port Richey, Hudson, and St. Pete (even, sometimes, from out of state) because they feel we’re an awesome fit for each other.  Give us a call at 813-434-3639 for a free consultation and to see if we’d make a great fit.

Will you think I'm crazy?

Well, honestly, if you’re “crazy”, then I’m “crazy” too! At Harper Therapy, we happen to be big proponents of counseling.  In fact, we find our clients to be the most brave people that we’ve ever had the honor of getting to spend time with! Call 813-434-3639 so that we can address some of your other concerns.

What does therapy cost?

Sessions range from $150 – $300, depending on the clinician’s experience and skill level. We do take insurance for some of our clinicians at Harper Therapy. Those are considered “In Network” providers. Some of our clinicians take Optum / UnitedHealcare, Aetna, and Cigna.

Other clinicians on our team are considered “Out of Network” providers for most insurance companies. We can provide you with a “Super Bill” to give to your insurance company to receive reimbursement in accordance with your policy.  You can talk with your insurance company regarding the terms of your policy to get a better understanding of what sessions will cost.

We have partnered with Reimbursify for you to easily submit your claims for out-of-network health insurance reimbursement at no cost for this practice for some of our therapists.  Download the app to get started today:

We also accept Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts payment.

Please keep in mind that to get the most impact from therapy, you will attend sessions weekly for the first several weeks.  The frequency will taper off as you make progress toward your goals and start feeling better, but you should keep this in mind as you consider treatment.  Remember that your investment of time and resources into your therapy will pay dividends throughout your life.

Can I give you a call?
